Y'allllllllllllll - I have a 10 month old! 😫

HOW!? How has the time gone by this fast!? It feels like it was just yesterday that we were in the delivery room. Today, we are 2 months away from planning Chaseton's first birthday activities and it doesn't even feel real. But, it is... very, very, real. Am I really ready for a 1 year old soon????
Whether I am ready or not Chaseton is growing bigger and bigger everyday. Watching him achieve new milestones has been super cool and today I wanted to share some of the recent things that Chaseton's been learning to do. Some of those things are...
Chase loves to eat solid foods! 🧑🏽🍳 He loves pasta, black beans, potatoes, meatballs, chicken, fruit smoothies, peanut butter toast, avocado, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, and happy baby puffs (they're like cheerios for babies.) He'll still drink breastmilk as well but it isn't so demanding since we can switch it up with solid foods throughout the day.
Chase can crawl, stand on his own, and he's learning to walk! His crawling skills are pretty superb now. The moment we let our son down to play on the floor he is all over! He moves so fast that I have to be sure to keep an eye on him because he can get into almost anything. (Still baby proofing as we speak.)
When it comes to him standing, as long as Chaseton has something to hold on to (the edge of his playard, the couch, my legs) then he will certainly grab a hold and stand up. I think he loves this new found independence and I'm sure it is only a matter of time before he lets go to walk.
Oh, and speaking of walking, we're still practicing that. He has a toy train (that is also a walker) and dad was the one who noticed him taking some steps with it. It was soooo fun to see. 🥰 But, I'm not sure if I'm ready for Chaseton to walk yet. It makes me nervous. 😫 lol
Another thing that is really cool is that Chaseton can respond to us now when we speak to him. Or, I should say that we've seen him comprehend some of the language we use with him. Whenever we say his name he will immediately turn to look at us. Whenever we say "yayyy" he knows we are encouraging him. When we say "no" he knows that something shouldn't be happening. When we make funny faces or say something silly then he'll laugh. 😍 We're still working on teaching him sign language and how to communicate more with us but we're hopeful that one day soon we will hear his first word!
Overall, my little boy is growing up quick and I'm just thankful to be on this journey with him. He is the best little baby ever and I can't wait until he turns 1 to give y'all more updates. 🥰
But, until then... thanks for reading and I'll be back with more about Chaseton soon!
